Uxmal is located in Yucatan, Mexico. It is definitely one of the most beautiful places that Mexico has to offer. It has to be on your schedule if you plan on visiting the country soon.

Uxmal is a historical and archaeological site that is not only quite old, but it is definitely quite interesting as well. It was way back in 700Ad when the city is thought to have been constructed, although some think that people began to inhabit the area around 800BC, which was about a thousand years before this area was actually built up.

People wonder why there was never a settlement created in the area, but research tells us that there is no source of water in Uxmal, so that is more than likely the reason.

There are many great reasons to take the time to visit Uxmal. All the attractions available are some of the main reasons. At 120 feet tall, you'll want to check out the Magicians Pyramid, which is far taller than any other buildings in the entire city. Enjoy getting to the top for the great view of Uxmal, and some great photos from up there.

1. Be flexible. Alternate either the airport/city or the time/date you plan to travel. A rigid travel schedule is going to make it hard to save money on travel.

2. Ask for discounts or upgrades. Don't accept the hotel rate as written in stone. Often all that is required is simply to ask for a discount or ask to be upgraded to a better room. Same goes for the airplane, ask for an upgrade. If you don't ask you'll never know what you might have been able to get.

3. Remember your AAA card and always ask if there is a discount.

4. Plan your vacation in the off season. For example, if you want to go on a ski trip, plan one for the summer. You will find the resorts charging quite a bit less, and it will be less crowded.

5. When purchasing your airline tickets, don't only look for round-trip tickets but also check the one-way fares. Even if you have to travel on different airlines, use whatever means possible to get the best deal.

6. If you are going to a theme park and planning to be there for more than a few days, opt for an annual pass as it usually only costs about the equivalent of two days' worth of tickets. You must be thinking of what you should do in your joyful Easter holiday and you must be in great holiday mood already, right? First wish you a very fruitful Easter! It has been a long time since we have a nice break during Christmas time (did I have any holiday after that? I forget, my life is in a mess), Easter is really a savior, at least for me it it, it saves me from my horrible and stressful working days (from days which I sleep around 11:00pm, nice right? But I need to wake up at 3am for finishing my work!)! How nice is Easter holiday! But Easter should not holiday, huh?

We know bits about Easter's history. The son of God, Jesus Christ, was sent by God to arrive the world and to save us from all the wrong things we have done in the past. Through his advent and death and rebirth, Jesus Christ sacrificed himself to rescue human beings. This is how Easter came to us. The phrase "Feliz Semana Santa!" is a phrase s by people in Spain to wish their friends and relatives a joyful Easter. In Spanish, "Feliz" equals to "happy", "Semana" equals to "week" and "Santa" means "Saints", The Spanish people reserve a week for Jesus' rebirth! However, their Easter holiday also only lasts for a few days! (What a great pityHave they ever thought of prolonging it?) But what if I am not Christian? How are these things relevant to me apart from as vacation and eating Easter eggs?

During Jesus' rebirth, he brought with him rejoice, remission and rebirth. Easter is the time for us to correct from our mistakes and to refresh ourselves through forgiving our enemies and those who treat us badly.

These are very good wishes to us, filling up with peace, love and harmony, including to non-Christians. It is through our self-reflection and remission that we know ourselves better and 'reborn' spiritually, as we take of our burden of hating others.

Every time we accept our mistakes and try to do better, we improve ourselves by a great deal; every time we accept our enemies and try to forget our hatred towards them, we feel relieved by a whole lot.
